URBES is a three-year research project funded by BiodivERsA that aims to bridge the knowledge gap on the links between urbanization, ecosystem services and biodiversity.

The project will build capacity for European cities to adapt to climate change and reduce ecological footprints. It focuses on functional diversity, urban ecosystem services, institutions, economics and resilience science. Interdisciplinary research insights will be translated into principles, landscape designs and applications.
